A fine U.S. Army Air Service altimeter. Circa 1918.

This type of instrument was fitted to a variety early aircraft, but most probably used in a Curtiss JN-4 ( Jenny )

The altimeter is in good original condition, and reacts well to barometric pressure variations.

  WW1 U.S. Air Service instruments are rare.
